The Sharing Center needed a film for their annual donor luncheon—something powerful enough to move a room full of people to tears, and meaningful enough to drive real support. The ask was simple, and heavy: Tell the stories of lives in crisis—honestly, respectfully, and in a way that inspires action.
With a lean crew and a minimal setup, we captured the stories of several individuals experiencing hardship—each one unique, personal, and deeply human. We didn’t dramatize. We didn’t add polish where it didn’t belong. We focused on presence: letting each person tell their story, their way. In post-production, we gave the piece a clean visual finish with restrained motion graphics and careful pacing. The emotion did the work—we simply honored it with framing and sound.
The video premiered at The Sharing Center’s annual luncheon, where it became the emotional centerpiece of the event. The result: one of their most successful fundraising moments to date. The film helped connect donors to the heart of the mission—and has since led to a new, ongoing storytelling collaboration between our team and the organization.
